Adoption 

On occasion, we will have pet owners who surrender their chinchillas to us, to Cali_FID or we will stumble upon a chinchilla in need of some help and bring them home. I personally cannot keep every animal I bring in for some TLC, but I can help them find good forever homes. On this page, you will see animals that are available here with me, or with local rescues or breeders who have taken in a chinchilla down on their luck. 

Chinchillas Available with Cali_FID.

Chinchillas that are available through us have adoption fees set by Cali_FID Parrot and Exotic Rescue Sanctuary.  All chinchillas listed here are surrenders or rescues. They are not purchased to be sold, and are never bred. Cali_FID is a 501c3 rescue whom we work under to help Chinchilla owners.
​All adoption fees for animals that belong to Cali_FID go directly back to the rescue and never in our pocket. 

Anyone interested in adopting must be 18 years old or older, anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will be required to fill out an adoption application. 
Adoption inquiries for our Chinchillas do not guarantee that you will get to adopt the animal/s,
​There is not a fee for filling out an application.

You must have basic knowledge of Chinchilla care and husbandry. 
We may ask you to show us your cage before sending an animal home with you.

Cali_FID is located in California. We do not ship or transport out of state. An adopter may travel to CA to adopt.
